Thank God 4 me.
There is this silly phenomenon, that people who seem to do the most do not acknowledge all they do. And the inverse. So here is a practice, write a thank you letter to yourself for what you have done in the past week, month or year. Write and expound on all the things that you have completed, achieved, sacrificed, time that you have given, virtues that you have embodied. You know this is for you, if you:
struggle to feel like you have done enough,
never have enough time in the day,
continuously get requests from others,
struggle to ask for help.
Sometimes pride is so shunned that individuals forget that a level of it is healthy. Without it you feel like you can never do enough because you are at the mercy of everyone’s else insatiable egos. And your ego is also insatiable to feel like it is less than, finding limitation, blocking your desires and keeping you from feeling what life truly is. So pen to paper, write that thank you letter, notice yourself and stop waiting for appreciation from others.
Now another letter may be considered scripting but this letter is thanking yourself for what you will do, sacrifice, feel, embody, give, learn, manage.
Pro tip: read them aloud.
